Abe Little League champions in the Bristol 4th of July parade !!!! Tonight the Pirates completed an undefeated season by beating the Bristol Red Sox 6-1. Bristol pitcher Ernie Brouillard kept the game close with some fine pitching only to be faced up against Tom Shahan who pitched a one hitter striking out 12 and going the distance. Some fine defensive plays were made by Tom McKean and Cody Driscoll, and the Pirates strung together enough hits and walks to score the runs needed. Thanks to all the fans who turned out as the crowd was huge tonight. Thanks to all the people who helped make this season one to remember for the boys, the parents for sticking it out through all the rain and delays, thanks to Tom Estey, Pete Bissonette, Kevin Camara, Paul Lowe, Mark Driscoll, and Chris Fanning for doing the most thankless job of umpiring for us this season. The team followed that effort with a 6-1 win over lincoln tonight in the semi final round. Alex Boomhower was the pitching star pitching the complete game win, the offense was just good enough to score some runs off of a solid pitching performance by Lincoln pitcher Dylan Wynack. The championship game will be held Wed. night at Cota field 6:00pm please come enjoy the game and support the boys as they look to go 13-0 and a spot in the Bristol 4th of July parade.
