Starksboro at Bristol 17-17 tie game! Girls are doing great!

Today is Sunday May 6. Minors Girls Softball has had their game that was scheduled for Tuesday May 8 cancelled because of the Music Festival. We are working on rescheduling it. Also Today I will be down at the field at 4:30 pm to get some hitting, fielding and throwing in if anybody wants to come down. I wiil post the complete schedule and game recaps soon. This is a great tool and I look forward to utulizing it more throughout the season. The girls record is 2 wins and 0 losses so far as they have won a 6-5 game against Bristol by a walkoff walk by Lauren Gibson as dusk was starting to settle in at Cota Field. They also won a nailbiter at Ferrisburg by a 1-0 score. Our next game is now Thursday May 10, with Vergennes coming to Cota Field.

All Games will start at 6:00 pm, children should arrive at the field at 5:30 pm. If there is a Saturday game then it will start at 10:00 am, with arrival time at 9:30 am.

Today is Tuesday May 8. There will be practice at Cota Field tonight from 5:30 to roughly 7:00. The game that was scheduled for tonight is being rescheduled, possibly for this Friday.

Girls Minors Softball -It is a definite we will make up the Tuesday game on this Friday night- May 11 5:30 at Cota Field against New Haven!!

Today is Monday May 14. Although not indicated on the schedule there will be a practice today at 5:45 PM at Cota Field. Also, due to the Robinson School Concert the Ferrisburg game scheduled for this Friday, May 18th has been RESCHEDULED for Monday May 21 at Cota Field.

Tues. 5/15/2007. MINORS GIRLS SOFTBALL> Tonights game in Monkton is still on as of 3:10 pm If we were to cancel it before game time we would do that by 4:45pm, so if you don’t hear from me befoe then we will see you at there field. The game will be played at the Elementary school field and there will be hot dogs and hamburgers on sale. We look forward to a fun night!!

Tues. 5/15/2007 MINORS GIRLS SOFTBAll> It is 4:25 pm and I just talked to Monktons coach. It looks like the rain that is occurring now will end by 6:00pm and we will be able to get our game in tonight. Again we will be playing at the elementary school field. Bring your raincoat just in case!!

Friday 5-18-07 Major Girls Softball>REMINDER the Ferrisburg game originally scheduled for today has been rescheduled for Monday 5-21-07 at Cota field. Although not on the schedule, due to Wednesday’s rain out of practice we will hold a practice tomorrow Saturday 5-19-07 at 10:00 AM. Thanks!

The Starksboro minors girls softball team kicked off the season tonight by winning a thrilling come from behind last inning game. The girls used good pitching from our two pitchers and some good hitting from allot of the youngest players on the team to score 5 runs in the last inning and pull it out 7-6. Thanks to all the parents who helped out and we are off and running with the 2008 season.

I was on this team, we did really well and our coaches were amazing…I’m still trying to get Chelsea to slide. It will happen!!!!

This is the amazing softball team. You could not get better. i was indeed on this team along with many of my friends. We might of been young, but we didn’t care. we had alot of fun an a harsh ending. Thank you to the coaches, this was the best softball season of my carrer!
